MY CRITZ
Going into it, I only know that it's about the Aztec/Mayan people of Mexico, and how their civilizations are gone in an instant. I wasn’t expecting the gory scenes throughout the movie. Goodness gracious!!!! Bloods, headless bodies and heads are being rolled down the pyramid to offer as a sacrifice to their Gods. Honestly, do not bring popcorn, hot dogs or even that chicken finger combo to this viewing. If you are hungry, eat hours before, ‘cause I can guarantee that you’ll be feeling sick. This movie is way too intense, but in a good way. Too bad Mel Gibson made that stupid anti-semitic comment before the movie was release. It could’ve done well in the theater, because in my opinion it is good for an epic feature. The weird language they speak didn’t bother me at all, in facts it adds to the intensity of the film. I heard on an interview that he named the movie Apocalypto, not because it means the end of the world, but it’s the opposite. Apocalypto means “the beginning”. Go see it!!!!

THE LAKE HOUSE

MY RATING

DIRECTED BY

Alejandro Agresti

YEAR RELEASED
2006

PLOT OUTLINE

A lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect.

MY CRITZ
Totally worth watching!!! Trust me! Especially if you're into romantic chick-flick movies. This movie is an exaggeration of faith & destiny and time, but I love it!!! I know that time travel and parallel universe is just a theory, only if it could be a reality. Basically what I got out of this movie is that timing is everything and that TIME is the 'x' factor in determining a success, in this case a relationship. If the timing isn't right, then it just isn't right. Things can't be forced to work against nature, and that's just how it is. Just wait, be patience and then when the time is right, everything will fall in the right places. Yay to Sandra & Keanu!! Rent it out and I guarantee you'll cry your eyes out and feel uplifted.
